When Faith Became Personal
During grief and the isolation of the pandemic, Christianity stopped being something I observed from a distance and slowly became part of my own life.
A personal story · told one chapter at a time
I did not arrive at Christian faith through one sudden answer. My journey began with questions, continued through uncertainty, and is still unfolding today.
The story behind the questions

Why I am sharing this
These reflections are not written by someone who has every answer. They are an honest record of how my understanding of faith began to change—from something inherited and compulsory into something I wanted to explore for myself.
I am sharing the questions as well as the answers, because sometimes the first step towards faith is simply admitting that we are still searching.
The chapters so far
During grief and the isolation of the pandemic, Christianity stopped being something I observed from a distance and slowly became part of my own life.
Photography gave me a way to explore churches from the outside—until curiosity about the images became curiosity about the faith behind them.
A photography assignment brought me inside a church for the first time—and showed me a way of living faith that felt peaceful, chosen and welcoming.
Long before I began looking towards Christianity, I was learning that faith could not be meaningful to me if it was rooted in obligation and fear.
